Associate / AVP Corporate Action or Asset Servicing (Hedge Fund)

Job description

​Our client, a global Investment Management firm is looking to hire an Operations Specialist for Corporate Action / Asset Servicing in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be involved in managing the trade lifecycle of daily trading activities of all portfolio managers trading Equity and Fixed Income products across the APAC region, as well as leading projects and initiatives and providing control framework and supervision within the Asia Core Operations team. He/ She will review and analyze on an ongoing basis the workflows and procedures across all product types, to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization, as well as controls. He/ She will perform daily T+1 trade, position & cash reconciliations across multi-asset classes across all APAC markets, working with prime brokers and external counterparties to resolve exceptions and discrepancies.

Additionally, he/she will manage Corporate Actions / Asset Servicing and Equities Syndicate deal processing procedures, ensuring accurate processing of all mandatory and voluntary corporate action events, inventory controls, and tax processing. He/ She will analyze processes to enhance operational efficiency & controls and participate in ad-hoc projects; work with internal stakeholders including global Ops/IT and wider Core Infrastructure teams to implement new systems and workflow, focusing on Corporate Action processes.

To qualify, individuals must possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience.

• Strong knowledge of APAC markets is a must, particularly in Equities and Convertible Bonds. Products coverage includes Equities, Bonds, Convertible Bonds, and Equity Swaps as primary. It may also be expected to cover Futures, Options, FX, Commodities, and other OTC Derivatives

• Relevant experience in Corporate Actions / Asset Servicing preferred

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and one that is continually changing.

• Must be a self-starter with strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with wider teams internally as well as with external counterparties and providers

• Knowledge in SQL, Macros/VBA, or relevant coding languages to perform analytics and build tactical solutions preferred
