Senior HR Manager, SEA Region – European MNC
Charterhouse, Singapore are supporting a European MNC in their search for a new Senior HR Manager to lead a team of 10 across Singapore and China, and reporting to the regional head in a flat hierarchy. This will cover teams across Singapore Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Vietnam
This person will need to be able to build excellent internal relationships and be able to roll up their sleeves as the role requires it.
They will oversee all operational and strategic HR with the support of the team and will be a key member of the senior leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the Compensation and Benefits function which runs daily operations successfully. The incumbent ensures that compliance with compensation and benefits policies across Asia Pacific region is met
Ensure the alignment of job grades, job titles, salary benchmark across Asia Pacific region.
Oversee the relocation and packages of employees / new hires from one country to another within the Asia Pacific region, or relocation into the Asia Pacific region in close cooperation with the HQ in Europe
Ability to foster healthy employee relations, oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
Implement initiatives to increase employee engagement, motivation, and job satisfaction, together with a very committed HR team.
Partner with senior leadership to develop further talent management strategies, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
Ensure that the candidates are a good fit for the respective company and company culture.
Oversee and provide relevant information relating to the annual budget and forecast exercise.
Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies further with the aim to support organizational goals and foster a positive work culture.
Together with two HR team members, oversee Learning and Development programs and initiatives in the region
Work closely with key stakeholders including Managing Directors of the affiliates as well as the three Managing Directors as well as function managers
Represent the company in external HR-related events and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in
Ensure compliance with local labour laws, regulations and internal policies in each country within the Asia Pacific region to mitigate legal risks.
Ensure compliance with data protection laws in the respective Asia Pacific countries. The incumbent will be supported by the Legal and Compliance Office
Attributes
Previous experience in managing large HR functions, ideally within a European MNC
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Degree holder ideally form HR or related area
Previous experience in commercial, regional settings
